An Orient woman fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed into a tree and a fire hydrant on Saturday morning, police said.

Southold Town police said Stephanie A. Wright, 24, was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry on Route 25 near Cases Lane in Cutchogue when she veered off the road about 6:30 a.m.
