Both drivers suffered minor injuries when a sport utility vehicle collided with a private bus Friday morning on Bay Shore Road in North Babylon, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the bus was backing into a parking lot when it was struck by the SUV at approximately 4:35 a.m. The accident scene is located near Brook Avenue, police said.

The driver of the SUV, a Jeep Liberty, was transported with minor injuries to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip via North Babylon Fire Department ambulance, police said.

Police said the bus driver also suffered minor injuries and was transported to Good Samaritan by an ambulance from the Deer Park Fire Department.

Police did not release the identities of either driver and no one was charged in the accident.
