Police: No injuries reported as tree hits Farmingville house

No one was injured late Sunday when a tree toppled onto a house and into the road on Dogwood Avenue in Farmingville, Suffolk County police said.

The tree split sometime just before midnight, with part of it landing on the house and another in the street.

The downed tree also damaged power lines; PSEG Long Island reported on its website that more than a dozen customers in the neighborhood lost power.
