Three masked and gloved vandals scaled a chain-link fence to break into an Islandia business early Sunday and damaged five company cars, Suffolk County police said in asking for the public's help to catch them.

One Subaru Forester was driven into a Peterbilt vehicle between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. at the Bancker Construction Corp. at 218 Blydenburgh Rd., while another Forester was driven into a pile of steel beams and a GMC pickup through a fence, police said.

Blue and yellow graffiti was sprayed all over a second GMC pickup, a storage trailer and on the pavement, police said.

"It looked like they were in there going crazy . . . for no other reason than to do it," said Det. Sgt. Terence Mawn of the Fourth Precinct.

It did not appear anything was stolen, he said.

The company is in an industrial area and detectives have been canvassing the neighborhood for surveillance videos, police said.

Anyone with information may call the squad at 631-854-8452 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
