A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest for burglaries that took place at condominiums in Yaphank in late August.

The person, or people, entered several residences at Colonial Woods and Whispering Pines Condominiums between Aug. 12 and Aug. 31 by prying open screen doors and windows, Suffolk County police said Thursday.

Police also released a surveillance image of a suspect wanted in connection with the burglaries.

Cash and electronics were among the valuables stolen in the burglaries, police said.

There were four burglaries and some other incidents of criminal mischief in which screens were cut but there was no entry, a police spokeswoman said.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
