Southampton Town police again are asking if anyone has seen -- or knows the whereabouts of -- a 40-year-old Sagaponack woman reported missing more than a week ago in Wainscott.

Lilia Aucapina, who also is known as Esperanza, was last seen about 9 a.m. Oct. 10, on Montauk Highway in Wainscott, police said.

The police said she was reported missing about 12 hours later.

Police said Monday that, in addition to Southampton Town officers, there have been daily searches for Aucapina by East Hampton Town police, Quogue Village police, Suffolk County police aviation and canine units, State Police, Suffolk County sheriffs officers, the state Department of Environmental Conservation and state forestry officers.

Aucapina is described as 5-foot-3, 130 pounds, with medium-length black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown boots and a black winter jacket.

Police said she also had her hair pulled up.

Police said anyone with information can call them at 631-702-2230 or 631-728-3400.

You also can send a note to crimetips@southamptontownny.gov -- or call 911.
