Police seek suspects in armed robbery of Ronkonkoma home

Police are searching for two men who staged a home invasion-style robbery Monday night in Ronkonkoma -- entering a home on Boulder Street, displaying a gun, stealing cash and fleeing the scene.

Suffolk County police said no one was injured in the robbery.

The home is north of the Long Island Expressway near Belle Avenue. Police said it was not immediately clear if the home was targeted.

It also was not immediately clear how many people were in the house when the robbery occurred. Police did not release a description of the suspects.

The robbery was reported in a 911 call at 9:11 p.m.

Police searched the area with a canine unit and a police helicopter, but said Tuesday no arrests had been made.

Police are asking anyone with information about the home robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS or Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
