Springs man turned home into pot farm, say police

A Springs man was arrested Friday for growing dozens of marijuana plants in his home, authorities said.

Police took Christopher Losinske, 42, into custody after finding 48 pot plants in the Talmage Farm Lane home.

The search was conducted following an investigation by the East End Drug Task Force.

Officers found several rooms in which the plants were growing, along with quantities of harvested plants and processed marijuana, police said.

The grow rooms were equipped with special lighting and ventilation systems, according to police.

A small amount of Ecstasy was also discovered, officers said.

Losinske faces marijuana possession and cultivation charges. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in East Hampton justice court.
