Police: Vanderbilt Museum vandals who fled on boat sought

Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are trying to find the vandals who damaged a vacant building on the grounds of the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport and then fled using a boat.

Police on Monday released a photograph of the suspects, four men, leaving in a red boat that was on a beach.

The men are suspected of vandalizing a door and roof panel on a building at the museum at 180 Little Neck Rd., at about 3 p.m. on Friday.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
