Suffolk County police said Tuesday that they were investigating a serious injury collision involving a garbage truck along the boundary of East Northport and Commack.

A police spokeswoman did not have specifics but said the truck was blocking Town Line Road between Franconia and Clay Pitts roads.

Photos from the scene show a garbage truck and a car with its front end under the back of the truck.

The crash was reported at 10:10 a.m., police said.

No other details were immediately available.
