Suffolk County police helped save six ducklings that had fallen through a storm drain Saturday night in Commack, police said.

Caryn Baldwin of Commack heard the ducklings chirping from a drain in the parking lot of Lowe’s on the Long Island Expressway’s North Service Road and called police about 8:25 p.m., police said. Officers removed the grate and scooped the ducklings out with a large net.

The ducklings appeared healthy, and Baldwin told News 12 Long Island that she plans to find the ducklings a good home.
