Suffolk police recruits sworn in

Suffolk County officials swore in 119 recruits during a ceremony at the police academy in Brentwood.  The class includes 87 Suffolk County Police Department recruits, 18 from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, and a total of 14 from the Northport, Riverhead, Shelter Island, Southampton Town, Stony Brook University and Lynbrook Police Departments as well as the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
