Suffolk County police on Tuesday asked the public's help identifying a woman who broke several windows at a Centereach home this summer.

Images from a surveillance camera show the woman, described as having a thin build and dark hair, approaching the Blydenburgh Road house at about 10 p.m. July 26 carrying what appears to be a baseball bat, police said.

She smashed the windows with the bat, police said, causing an estimated $1,900 in damage to the home.

Detectives from the Suffolk police Sixth Squad ask anyone with information about this criminal mischief to make a confidential call to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
