Suffolk County police are investigating a robbery at a Shirley bank that took place Sunday about noon -- the third robbery at that location since March.
Police said in the most recent robbery, a man entered TD Bank at 530 William Floyd Pkwy. and demanded money from the teller using a note. The man left with the money and headed north through the parking lot, police said. No arrests have been made in Sunday's robbery, police said.
The man is described as being about 6 feet tall and between 30 and 40 years old, police said. Police said he was wearing dark sunglasses, a hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a hat.
Police said the same TD bank was robbed on April 19. Police arrested William Mendolia, 55, of Mastic, and charged him April 21 with the robbery and three others in Shirley, Mastic and Center Moriches.
On March 7, the same bank was robbed by a man who also handed the teller a note demanding cash and then left, police said. He was described as 5-foot-7 and in his early 40s, police said. He was last seen wearing a light-colored baseball cap, jeans and a dark-colored jacket.
