The Bay Shore teen charged in the shooting of a 21-year-old West Babylon man on Monday was ordered held on $100,000 bail or $300,000 bond.

Shameek Hutchinson pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Saturday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Hutchinson, 17, of Union Boulevard, allegedly shot Christian Warren once in the face with a handgun on Monday afternoon. Police said Hutchinson fired from his vehicle, in front of Warren's home.

Warren suffered profuse bleeding and internal injuries, including damage to his spine and mandible. He was hospitalized at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and later transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital, according to court documents.

The judge issued a stay-away order to Hutchinson, regarding the victim and two witnesses of the alleged crime, before bail was set.
