Senior citizens can obtain a free photo identification card from a program sponsored by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office and State Sen. Phil Boyle (R-Bay Shore)’s office.
The identification cards feature important medical and identity information in case of emergency.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28, interested senior citizens can sign up for the program at the West Babylon Public Library, 211 Route 109.
Photographs will be taken and cards issued.
The card will feature a current photograph and information such as name, address, doctors’ phone numbers, medical conditions, and emergency family contacts.
All participating seniors must bring identification for verification.
