3 stabbed outside Smithtown bar

A Smithtown man was arrested for allegedly stabbing three men outside a Smithtown pub early Saturday morning, Suffolk police said.

Police say they were called to Eagle’s Pub, located at 532 Smithtown Bypass at 3:13 a.m. after Kurt Meyer Jr., 30, of 196 Maple Ave., stabbed the men following a confrontation.

Police say Meyer then fled from the scene but was soon arrested a few blocks away.

The victims, who were not identified, were transported to local hospitals, where they were treated and released.

Meyer was charged with three counts of second-degree assault. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
