Adventureland will be decorated with pumpkins, corn stalks and inflatable decorations for its annual Pumpkin Park event this weekend. The park has been running the event for more than 15 years, but this will be the first year of its newest attraction, the Ghost House.
Park manager Steve Gentile said the 48-year-old amusement park in Farmingdale will be open free of charge from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to trick-or-treaters.
Gentile said that guests can also enjoy a free ride on the park’s Trick-or-treat train, and that all other rides will be open at normal price.
“It’s our way of being a part of something and giving back to everybody,” Gentile said.
Adventureland’s last day of operations is Oct. 31. It will reopen for the summer season March 26.
