ARF holds annual dog walk in East Hampton

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons Inc., known as ARF, is holding its 18th annual “Stroll to the Sea“ dog walk for charity on 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 15 beginning and ending at the Mulford Farm in East Hampton Village.

The 2-mile walk includes a stroll along the ocean. Participants can get T-shirts and refreshments as well as free microchipping for their dogs. This year's T-shirt was designed by Isaac Mizrahi.

Mercedes Ruehl will cut the official ribbon to start the walk.

The walk will be followed by contests, such as dog and owner look-alike, the ‘pooch who can smooch’ and dogs with musical talent. Prizes will be awarded.

There will also be a silent auction and music by Sandy Rapp.

The top fundraiser can win prizes, including airfare to London on British Airways and an artist's rendition of your pets. The top prize for children is a bicycle. See the website for more prizes.

Dog walkers can register at The registration fee is $25 for adults, and children younger than 16 can walk for free.
