Looking for something to do with your Saturday nights? This summer a drumming circle has been organized to meet at Venetian Shores Beach every Saturday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The drumming circle meets on the east side of the beach, in front of the picnic tables. Getting together an hour before sunset, the group plays drums and celebrates the sun setting over the Great South Bay.
People are encouraged to bring their drums, tambourines, percussion instruments, hula hoops and other items for a fun night at the beach. Bring a chair and blanket, and dance along. The Beach Hut restaurant will be open for food and drinks and a band will be playing at the same time.
The circle meets for the second time tomorrow night and will meet every week through Aug. 27. There is free parking at the beach after 6 p.m.
