The Town of Babylon approved several new contracts last week during a board meeting. Those contracts approved through resolutions include:
* Longshore Environmental in Holbrook for soil borings.
*Cipco Boarding Co., Inc. in East Rockaway for residential house board-ups.
*Consulting contract with Daniel Falasco, P.E., P.C. in Ronkonkoma for an hourly rate of $125 for engineering services concerning abandoned homes and unsafe structures.
*Consulting contract with Cashin Associates, P.C. in Hauppauge for $14,500 for permitting, design, bid preparation and construction supervision concerning Cedar Beach Marina bulkhead repairs.
*Consulting contract with Gary M. Rupp, CPA in Babylon for fees totaling $14,500 for auditing four agencies overseen by the town: Youth Development Research Institute, Inc., Handicapped & Therapeutic Service Institute, Inc., Senior Citizen Community Services, Inc. and Drug & Alcohol Services.
*Consulting contract with USI Consulting Group in Glastonbury, Conn. for $7,500 for services related to post retirement health and welfare benefits.
*A contract with Accumedic Computer Systems, Inc. in Great Neck for $45,843.60 plus an annual maintenance fee of $7,108.20 for consulting services related to a medical billing system for the Drug & Alcohol Services program.
*The town also has scheduled public hearings at town hall for March 1 at 3:30 p.m. on the following matters: amending town code to include a licensing fee of $500 for massage establishments; amending town code for the Uniform Code of Traffic Ordinances to include “no standing for purposes of loading or unloading trucks or car carriers” on Muncie Road from Montauk Highway to Kirby Lane in West Babylon.
