Babylon holds first-ever Founders' Day

Babylon Town Supervisor Steven Bellone, County Legis. Wayne Horsley and Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino are among speakers scheduled for the village’s first-ever Founders’ Day on Saturday.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Conklin House, 280 Deer Park Ave., and at 12:30 p.m. will move to the Town of Babylon History Museum (Old Town Hall), 47 W. Main St., then at 2 p.m. will move to the Babylon Village Historical Society, 117 W. Main St.

Bellone will speak about the history of Old Town Hall, Horsley on the development of early Babylon, and Scordino about the village in the 20th century.

The buildings will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 631-669-1756.
