The Town of Babylon will host its 12th annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday from noon to 3:30 p.m. at the Town Hall Annex.
The celebration features indoor and outdoor events, including activities for children, a food tasting, cultural displays, pumpkin picking and presentations by students from Copiague middle and high schools. There will also be music by La Fiesta Radio.
Members of the town’s Department of Human Services will honor two people for their contributions to the community.
This year’s honorees are Angel Ortiz, a senior advocate for the Suffolk County Office of the Aging, and Melissa Santos-Asbell, a teacher at Park Avenue Memorial Elementary School and a singer. Both honorees will give speeches at the event.
The festival will take place rain or shine and admission is free.
The Town Hall Annex is at 281 Phelps Lane, North Babylon.
