The Massapequa Pet Vet facility held Barktoberfest on Sunday to raise money for three organizations -- the Guide Dog Foundation, Canine Companions for Independence and the Long Island Wildlife and Animal Rescue. Dr. Ned Horowitz, 52, director of the facility, plans to make the event an annual fall benefit.
