The fourth annual Barrier Beach Blues and Arts Festival begins today in Long Beach.

The four-day event will emphasize Long Island blues music, organizers said.

“The focus this year will be on those talented individuals and groups who support, promote, and play the blues in our own backyard,” the Long Beach Public Library and Artists in Partnership, a nonprofit arts organization, said in a statement.

The “anchor venues” will be the Hub Billiard Club and Lola’s Kitchen and Wine Bar. Events also will take place elsewhere around Long Beach.

Performers include Benoir and the Long Beach All-Stars, Halley DeVestern, Sweet Suzi & Sugafixx, Blue Vipers of Brooklyn, Roxy Perry Band, and Lil’ Cliff and the Cliffhangers.

All events related to the festival are free, organizers said.

More information about the blues festival is available via barrierbeachblues.com or barrierbeachblues@gmail.com.
