The Town of Hempstead will host an All American Beach Party on Saturday night with a rock concert, fireworks and a salute to veterans.

The legendary group Blood, Sweat and Tears will headline the town’s Independence Celebration at Point Lookout Beach.

The town celebration will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a tribute to military veterans, followed by fireworks.

Classic and vintage automobiles from area car clubs will be on display, as well as an array of military vehicles and armored equipment from the 2nd Marines, 25th Battalion reserve infantry unit of Garden City. A food court will be on site.

The rain date for the concert and fireworks is Sunday. Town Park Point Lookout is at 1300 Lido Blvd. The entrance is directly across the Loop Parkway exit on Lido Boulevard.
