The 31st annual Brookhaven Country Fair will be held on Sept. 10-11 at Longwood Estate in Ridge, according to Brookhaven Town officials.
The fair will feature family activities and entertainment, including traditional crafts, primitive cooking, Irish step dancing, pony rides and re-enactments of the Revolutionary and Civil wars.
Admission is $2 and free for children under 12.
“The rich history and beautiful grounds of Longwood Estate make it the perfect setting for a fun day out with friends and family,” Town Supervisor Mark Lesko said in a news release.
Longwood Estate dates to the 1790s and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Councilwoman Constance Kepert, who represents Ridge, said the fair is “a great family and community event, one [at which] I sold funnel cakes for the Middle Island Civic Association. Bring the family and support your favorite community organization.”
