The Charlie Daniels Band, accompanied by the Marshall Tucker Band, is coming to Long Island for a benefit show to help the Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior program.

The show will be on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, 960 Brush Hollow Rd. Tickets, regularly $65, are being sold by the firefighters group for $50, $10 of which will go to Operation Wounded Warrior.

There will also be a preshow car and motorcycle show starting at 5 p.m. outside the theater.

“Nassau firefighters will continue in their efforts to help our wounded veterans who have sacrificed so much,” group chairman Joseph O’Grady, a member of the Floral Park Fire Department, said in a statement. “We would hope that our fellow Nassau residents will help us with our efforts.”

Funds raised will be used on wounded warriors being treated and recuperating in the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., as well as hospitals at Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

For more information and tickets, call Chris Baktis of the Franklin Square Fire Department at 516-606-5987.
