Cops: Glen Cove man committed Medicaid fraud

The Glen Cove Police Department reported only three noteworthy crimes for last week.

The incidents seemed innocuous enough:

October 10, 2010 – October 16, 2010

On October 10, Det. Williams arrested a 47 year old male for Criminal Contempt 1st Degree (2 counts) on Hendrick Avenue.

On October 11, PO M. Telese arrested a 23 year old male for Petit Larceny on Forest Avenue.

On October 14, Det. Williams arrested a 67 year old male for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree on Bridge Street.

That last one caught our attention. Turns out that Abraham Amado, 67, the owner of a Glen Cove ambulette company, was charged in connection with a Medicaid fraud case, Glen Cove police said.
