Hicksville firefighters responded to a truck fire Tuesday morning in the parking lot of Patel Brothers on South Broadway in Hicksville.

Officials from the Hicksville fire department said the cab of the truck, which was carrying frozen pizzas, was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene around 11 a.m. Firefighters also found that both of the truck's diesel fuel tanks had ruptured and spilled fuel in the lot.

Officials said it took about 30 firefighters 10 minutes to put out the fire and another half-hour to clean up the spill.

Sanjay Patel, manager at Patel Brothers, said it had received its full delivery before the truck went ablaze.

It was not known what caused the truck to catch fire while it was being unloaded, but officials said arson was not suspected.

No injuries were reported.
