Ex-Southampton ambulance chief dies
Melissa "Missy" Croke, a founder and former chief of the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance Corp., died Wednesday at the age of 57 after a long illness.
She was chief from 2001-2005 and answered nearly 4,000 calls during almost two decades as a member. Her passions extended into American Indian culture and caring for animals.
