Reporter Patrick Whittle is once again at the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" site in East Setauket, where he's reporting throughout the day here and on Twitter.

Retired New York Yankee pitcher David Cone is now at the site to pitch in, and ex-outfielder Bernie Williams is slated to show, too. Plus, there are dozens of Yankee staffers on hand.

"It's smoking hot and nobody's complaining," said Cone, who is a big fan of the show.

Security says 1,000 people are at the site, including spectators and workers.

The new house will be more than two times larger than the old six-bedroom house, with an inground pool.
