Corporate Drive at Zeckendorf Boulevard in Westbury will be closed for about 500 feet on Monday from 7 to 11 a.m. for film shooting of the FX television series “The Americans,” according to Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano and Nassau police officials.
Also, at about 5 p.m., the series — which is about KGB spies posing as Americans during the Cold War — will shoot a scene at Eisenhower Park, closing northbound park traffic at Hempstead Turnpike for at least an hour, a police official said.
The official said the park scene will involve a stunt in which a car runs into a fake tree along Park Boulevard. Nassau police will be with the movie crew throughout this stunt activity, officials said.
“This film action emphasizes the growth of our initiative to have Nassau be a leader in film and TV production, which now brings more than 90 million [dollars] to our local economy and accounts for more production days than four of New York City’s five boroughs combined,” Mangano said.
