The Glen Cove City Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday night to gather input for its 2011-12 Community Development Program application. Citizens are encouraged to propose activities for inclusion in the annual program that seeks grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The hearing, part of the regular council meeting, will be 7:30 p.m. at Glen Cove City Hall, 9 Glen St.

Also on the agenda is a resolution authorizing the city attorney to settle unspecified claims, and a resolution to allow the Greek Orthodox Church of the Resurrection to erect 20 lawn signs advertising its annual "Greek Village Festival" in the city.

Action items will be followed by general public comment.
