In an effort to modernize its wireless communications tower regulation, the Huntington town board will hold a public hearing Tuesday to consider extending the town’s 90-day cell tower moratorium that was enacted in February.
The board also will consider ideas and recommendations discussed during the moratorium, including where to place cell towers and changes to the application approval process.
Officials approved the moratorium in order to review codes governing wireless communication facilities, including transmission and reception antenna and towers. The town’s codes date to 1998.
The hearing will be held during the monthly town board meeting at Town Hall, 100 Main St. The meeting is at 2 p.m.
