Continuing a war of words, Huntington Town Supervisor Frank Petrone sent a scathing letter to Highway Superintendent William Naughton on Monday, berating him for “significant misstatements and inaccuracies” in a statement delivered on his behalf against the proposed 2011 budget at the town board meeting last Thursday.

For the second year in a row, Naughton complained about his department’s budget and hiring.

The budget was approved at the meeting.
