Huntington tables decision on cell tower proposal

The Huntington Town Zoning Board of Appeals has delayed taking action on an application for a cell tower to be erected in Huntington Station.

After holding a public hearing Thursday night, the board tabled the application by cell carrier MetroPCS for a 100-foot monopole and 250-square-foot equipment compound, said Huntington spokesman A.J. Carter.

MetroPCS wants to build the tower at the north side of West 11th Street where it meets 10th Avenue in Huntington Station.
