The annual meeting of the Huntington ethics board scheduled for Thursday evening has been postponed due to the inclement weather.

Also canceled are the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting and traffic violations court.

The ethics board is required by town code to hold an annual meeting to hear testimony and suggestions on changes to the ethics code.

Town officials have been working since late last year to revise the town's ethics code. Town board member Tracey Edwards has been leading the effort toward the revisions, along with ethics board chairman Howard Glickstein.

In other cancellations in the town, there will be no afternoon public session at the Dix Hills Ice Rink and no evening ice rink charters.

HART Bus paratransit will shut down once passengers have been returned home. Fixed route service is continuing to operate.

Trash collection was suspended at 9 a.m. Residents who did not receive service will have trash picked up on their next regular collection day.
