Islip donates phones for domestic violence victims

The Town of Islip will donate 73 cell phones for victims of domestic violence.

The cell phones, along with their chargers, will be dropped off at the Suffolk County Police Department’s Third Precinct in the next few weeks and distributed to the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

“Any time we are in a position to help out those in need we jump at the opportunity, especially during the holidays,” Islip Supervisor Philip Nolan said in a statement. “This is a wonderful program that will be assisting a wonderful organization, and we are happy to be lending a hand.”
