Kings Park Civic Association meets tonight

Smithtown Highway Superintendent Glenn Jorgensen will be the guest speaker tonight at a meeting of the Kings Park Civic Association.

The group also will hear a presentation about a proposed athletic field complex on Old Northport Road and hold a discussion of St. Johnland Nursing Center’s plan to construct a new housing and health care facility on Sunken Meadow Road.

The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the community room of Kings Park High School, 200 Route 25A.

The group also plans to discuss unfinished homes on West Main Street and a proposed development on Old Northport and Lawrence roads, according to a meeting agenda furnished by the civic association.

Jorgensen is expected to discuss Highway Department issues and the current winter season. He is to take questions from members.
