The annual holiday tree-lighting ceremony at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in Oyster Bay will take at 6 p.m. Friday.
Arboretum gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for the event featuring a 35-foot Japanese umbrella pine that is located on the south side of the camellia greenhouse.
Santa Claus and carolers will be on hand, and guests can enjoy the holiday decorations on the first floor of Coe Hall and the poinsettia display in the main greenhouse.
