The Village of Lindenhurst will have special Saturday hours on Jan. 8, 2011, from 10 a.m. to noon for residents to buy 2011 commuter parking permits at Village Hall.

To buy a permit, which costs $45, bring your vehicle registration(s) and proof of residence, such as a recent tax or utility bill. Permits may also be purchased at Village Hall during regular weekday hours, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Permits may also be obtained by mail. Send a registration receipt, proof of residence and the $45 to the Village Hall, 430 S. Wellwood Ave.

Parking permits are required for resident and nonresident municipal parking fields north of the Lindenhurst Long Island Rail Road station and for parking bays under the LIRR viaduct from Wellwood Avenue to Delaware Avenue.
