Suffolk County police released a surveillance image of a suspect wanted in connection with the use of a stolen credit card in several locations in Suffolk in early August 2014.

COAST GUARD RESCUES HEART ATTACK VICTIM 

The U.S. Coast Guard medically evacuated a 60-year-old man Thursday who was suffering a heart attack from a vessel less than one mile off Montauk Inlet.

A crew member aboard the recreational vessel "Next Move" contacted watch standers at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound at about 9:30 a.m., reporting a man had suffered a heart attack and was in need of assistance.

Coast Guard Station Montauk arrived on scene and transferred one crew member aboard the vessel to assess the man and administer a shock with an automated external defibrillator.

Once moored at Station Montauk, the Coast Guard crew members transferred the man to an emergency medical service, which took him to a hospital.

RIP CURRENTS CLOSE BEACHES

Beaches at three Long Island state parks — Jones Beach, Robert Moses and Hither Hills — and Long Beach were closed to swimmers Thursday because of dangerous rip currents and high surf related to swells from Hurricane Cristobal, officials said. More on this story: nwsdy.li/1qMflOO

WANTED

Suffolk County police are looking for an unidentified man who made purchases with a stolen credit card. The card was stolen from a vehicle parked in Miller Place on Aug. 18. Purchases were made at the 7-Eleven location in Selden and at the Valero gas station in Mount Sinai a short time later.

Anyone with information can call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous. 

MEETING RESCHEDULED

GREAT NECK ESTATES: A public hearing on a proposal to tear down the historic First Playhouse Theater so a 20-unit apartment can be built has been rescheduled for Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. during the board of trustees meeting at Village Hall, 4 Gateway Dr. Follow Lisa Irizarry's tweets: @lisairiz

TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT

NY 27. The eastbound and westbound left lanes from Exit 53 (NY 112) to Exit 54 (Hospital Road) in East Patchogue have been reopened. A crash involving an overturned dump truck closed the two lanes for 3½ hours Thursday.  More on this here: nwsdy.li/VT0REr

MEADOWBROOK PARKWAY. All southbound lanes will be closed due to construction until further notice Monday through Fridays from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured from the Northern State Parkway entrance ramp (Exit M6) to the Southern State Parkway.
