SUV PLOWS INTO RESTAURANT

An SUV crashed into the front of the Gallery Four restaurant on Broadway in Lynbrook on Friday. Lynbrook Village police confirmed the incident happened at 8:57 a.m. and no one was injured.

BEER TRIAL

A jury has found Joseph Beer guilty of four counts of second-degree manslaughter, reckless driving and reckless endangerment in the second degree.

Beer was accused of being high on marijuana and driving more than 100 mph when he crashed on the Southern State Parkway on Oct. 8, 2012, killing four of his friends.

The judge in the case had earlier ruled he would accept a partial verdict from the jury.
