PAIR WANTED IN HOME DEPOT THEFT
Suffolk County police are looking for an unidentified man and woman who allegedly stole extension cords from the Home Depot location in Shirley on June 28, 2014, at around 5:10 p.m.
Anyone with information can call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.

EX-YANKEE FOUND GUILTY. A day after a saying it was deadlocked, a Nassau County jury on Thursday found ex-Yankee outfielder Rosendo "Rusty" Torres guilty of sexually abusing one girl and acquitted him of sex abuse charges involving another girl.
FATAL SKYDIVING ACCIDENT. Riverhead Town police have identified the skydiver who was killed in an accident Wednesday in Calverton, as well as his instructor, who was critically injured. Medford resident Gary Messina, a New York City correction officer, died a day before his 26th birthday. His instructor, Christopher Scott, 28, of Sound Beach, is being treated at Stony Brook University Hospital.
MURDER CASE: Leah Cuevas, 42, who is accused of killing a mother of four in a Brooklyn apartment and then dumping body parts on Long Island, is expected back in court today.
COLD CASE ARRIAIGNMENT: The man accused of killing two women in the 1990s is expected to face arraignment in Riverhead today. John Bittrolff, the man charged with strangling and bludgeoning Rita Tangredi, 31, of East Patchogue in November 1993 and Colleen McNamee, 20, of Holbrook in January 1994.
