WATER MAIN ALERT
EAST SETAUKET: Water services will be shutdown due to emergency repair of a water main on Bunny Lane. The 25 affected residences and areas nearby may experience no water service, low water pressure or discolored water.
TOWN BOARD. The Brookhaven Town Board meets at 5 p.m. today at Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville, to hold seven public hearings on issues such as zoning changes and an amendment of the town’s Uniform Traffic Code. Follow Carl MacGowan’s Twitter updates: @CarlMacGowan.

TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT
MERRICK: An off-ramp is closed on Sunrise Highway westbound at Meadowbrook Parkway.
LINDENHURST: There's construction work on Sunrise Highway eastbound between Carmans Road and North Monroe Avenue.
HUNTINGTON STATION: There is an accident on West Jericho Turnpike westbound at Route 110/Walt Whitman Road.
Isolated thunderstorms are predicted for the afternoon. This evening should be clear, but showers could return later tonight. Today's high is expected to hit 76 degrees with a low of 64.
