Town Focus: Day 5 in Rockville Centre

Community journalist Tara Conry is wrapping up her week in Rockville Centre today for Newsday's "Town Focus" series. She spent the day stopping in at some of the restaurants, shops and bars in the downtown area to see what they are doing to prepare for Saturday's big St. Patrick's Day parade.

MALVERNE - AIRPLANE NOISE - The Town-Village Aircraft Safety Noise Abatement Committee is holding a meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Malverne Village Hall, 99 Church St. Officials from the Port Authority, which manages Kennedy and LaGuardia airports, will discuss Gov. PORT WASHINGTON - TALL POLES - North Hempstead is holding an informational meeting Monday about the PSEG Long Island Port Washington to Great Neck overhead transmission project. HEMPSTEAD TOWN - CO DETECTORS - The Hempstead Town Board is holding a public meeting Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Nathan L.H.
