LEVITTOWN: Hempstead Turnpike westbound is closed at Wantagh Avenue and before Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. Traffic is stopped from Route 107 (Hicksville Road) in Bethpage.

NASSAU: Berry Hill Road is blocked by a fallen tree between Highway 25A (North Hempstead Turnpike) and Highway 106 (South Street/Pine Hollow Road).

HUNTINGTON: Accident on East Main Street between Fort Hill Road and Center Shore Road South in Centerport.

LINDENHURST: Accident on Montauk Highway at South Strong Avenue.

POSSIBLE ICE AND GUSTY WINDS: A wind advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph. High of 30 degrees with a wind chill of 1 degree.

Crime stoppers: Wanted for robbery

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two men who stole money from Exxon, 570 Sunrise Hwy. in West Islip, on Feb. 20 at 2 a.m. One man, armed with a handgun, ordered an employee to hand over money. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and the men fled in a vehicle described as a gray or a light blue SUV. Anyone with information about this crime can call 1-800-220-TIPS.


HEWLETT HARBOR VILLAGE: BOARD MEETING. The Hewlett Harbor Village Board will meet today at 7:30 p.m. at Hewlett Harbor Village Hall, 449 Pepperidge Rd. Check Aisha Al-Muslim's Twitter updates at @AishaAlMuslim.

BAYVILLE: CROSS-CULTURAL. The Israeli men's national lacrosse team will face Ireland at 2 p.m. Sunday to celebrate both Purim and St. Patrick's Day -- and prepare for the World Championships this summer. ISLANDWIDE: VILLAGE ELECTIONS. More than three dozen villages on Long Island hold elections Tuesday. Amityville, Bellerose, Farmingdale, Head of the Harbor, Island Park, Mastic Beach, Munsey Park, Northport, Old Field and Stewart Manor have contested races for mayor or trustees.
