More than $200,000 in state funding has been approved for a road improvement project in Massapequa Park.

State Sen. Charles Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick) said he secured the money to allow the village to reconstruct Philadelphia Avenue between Pittsburg Avenue and Cypress Street.

The project will include a new road base, asphalt paving, drainage improvements, concrete sidewalks, aprons, handicapped ramps and curbs.
