Babylon Town is gearing up tomorrow for its fifth annual Soldier Ride benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.

More than 1,200 riders are expected at the event, which will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, a national service organization offering more than a dozen programs for injured service members and their families, such as benefits counseling.

Bicyclists are encouraged to arrive at Babylon Town Hall in Lindenhurst at 8 a.m., with the opening ceremony starting at 9. Wounded soldiers representing the Army, Navy and Marine Corps will lead the ride. After leaving Town Hall, the route will continue through several of the town’s communities, then proceed to the Robert Moses Causeway and Ocean Parkway before ending at Overlook Beach.

Those interested in registering for the ride can visit or register in person at the event starting at 7 a.m.
